Analog Spectrum – Doug and Tony - are two Gen X 50-something guys who have managed to stay friends for around thirty years. They enjoy analyzing and debating entertainment, (pop) culture, and the general concepts of society through their unique, often retrospective, lens. They may know some things, but they don’t know a lot. They are doing this strictly for fun. Add to that, both of these guys pride themselves on being old-school shade tree mechanics and gearheads, and you just knew this topic would come up sooner or later. I'll just say that this probably won't be the last time they devote a whole podcast to things that go fast on asphalt and I'll leave it at that.

Once again, we’re talking film. I think we would all agree that it takes a lot to make a movie great! One key ingredient that takes a “maybe good” or “so-so” piece of entertainment past the point of “must watch” is the actors that promote and assist their fellow thespians. For every Brad Pitt, there’s a Nick Searcy, Tom Cruise, there’s a Ving Rhames, and for every Ben Affleck, there’s a Casey Affleck. They, indeed, are the unsung heroes of so much cinema; we love those supporting actors. Here’s a short list of just a few of our favorites!

Going into this podcast recording session, Doug and Tony were TOTALLY unprepared. Come on…you get it. Life is busy! So, rather than coming up with a topic, they decided to start talking and see what would happen. Admittedly, it's a dangerous idea. The bottom line is this is what you get...a half-ass podcast where they talk about pretty much anything. You know what? It doesn't suck. I guarantee that you'll laugh a few times. WARNING! SALTY LANGUAGE DOUBLE-WARNING!! DISCUSSION OF VIOLENT MOVIES
You asked for the most entertaining podcast ever, and we delivered! Doug and Tony exchanged some movies, and then they talked about them. Ok, I'm not explaining it very well. Let me clarify – As everyone knows, both Doug and Tony like movies. Among their list of "liked movies," there are a few that only one podcaster has seen (SHOCKER)! So, with no preconceptions or descriptions, they've swapped films. A few key points, they are not allowed to do any upfront research – their first experience comes from the initial viewing, and they do not watch these together; they view the videos outside their fellow podcasters' presence. THEN they come back to discuss. They argue some, they agree some, and hilarity ensues.
